Yarn: 1 skein of Du Store Alpakka STERK or another yarn that makes 22 stitches on 10 cm. If you want a longer rib you need 2 skeins of your yarn choice.
Needles: Knitted on a # 3 mm circular needle (not in the round, the hand warmers will be sewn together when they are finished).
Pattern for the eyelet cable rib:
Row 1(WS): *Knit 3, purl 2*
Row 2 (RS): *Knit 1, yarn over, knit 1, purl 3,*
Row 3 (WS): *Knit 3, purl 3*
Row 4 (RS): *Slip 1 stitch, knit 2, and pass the slipped stitch over the 2 knitted stitches, purl 3,*
Cast on 50 stitches on a 3mm needle.
Knit the eyelet cable rib pattern 8 times or as long as you wish to make your ribbing.
Knit stockinette stitches for about 7.5 cm.
Knit the eyelet cable pattern once more on the top of the hand warmers.
Bind off and knit one more hand warmer.
The hand warmers should be sewn together, but first you have to measure on your hand where to leave an opening for your thumb. My thumb opening is about 4 cm long, 12 cm from the bottom edge and 3 cm from the top edge.
Crochet a picot edge on the top of both hand warmers, and if you like you can make a little flower to put on as well. (Look at the pictures above).
